# What to Expect from an Iris Diagnostic

> A client-friendly explanation of the diagnostic process and participant experience.

The purpose of the diagnostic is to understand **how work happens today**, where friction exists and which changes are worth considering.

## What may be involved

Depending on the engagement, we may use:

* stakeholder interviews;
* consent-based screen observation;
* process or policy documents;
* structured operational data where relevant.

Not every engagement uses every evidence source.

## What we are looking for

We want to understand:

* the normal workflow;
* decisions and exceptions;
* handoffs;
* rework and delays;
* workarounds;
* system switching;
* opportunities to simplify or improve the process.

## What we are not doing

The purpose is not to grade individual employees or force an AI solution onto every task.

## After evidence collection

The consulting team reviews and combines evidence, validates important findings with relevant stakeholders and develops recommendations. These may include process changes, systems integration, automation, AI assistance or other interventions.
