# Iris Fundamentals

> Understand where Iris fits in an evidence-led consulting engagement and what remains the consultant's responsibility.

Iris is Prescient Labs' platform suite for helping consultants build a structured view of how client work happens and where change may create value.

Its role is best understood as **diagnostic infrastructure for the consultant**.

## What Iris supports

Based on the current product baseline, Iris can support:

* AI-led stakeholder interviews;
* consent-based screen observation for more granular task evidence;
* structured operational-data and process-intelligence analysis in the relevant product tier;
* process understanding and mapping;
* identification of bottlenecks, rework, handoffs, variants and workflow friction;
* development of AI, automation, integration and process-improvement opportunities;
* evidence that can support recommendations and ROI assumptions.

## What Iris does not replace

You remain responsible for:

* choosing the business question;
* scoping the engagement;
* selecting stakeholders;
* ensuring appropriate consent and client communication;
* validating evidence;
* applying professional judgment;
* deciding what to recommend;
* communicating with executives;
* selling and delivering implementation.

<Warning>
  Do not present Iris outputs as automatically correct or as a substitute for client validation. The consultant must distinguish evidence, inference and assumptions.
</Warning>

## A client-friendly explanation

> We use Iris to collect and structure evidence about how work currently happens. It helps us compare stakeholder perspectives, understand workflow friction and build a more evidence-backed set of recommendations. We then validate those findings with your team before recommending what should change.

## Product details

Exact package entitlements, limits and some workflow steps remain **\[PRODUCT DETAIL TO CONFIRM]** and should be updated as the product evolves.
