# Qualifying Opportunities

> Decide which Iris-surfaced opportunities are credible enough to become recommendations.

Do not carry every generated idea into the client report.

## Qualification checklist

### Evidence strength

Is the problem observed across enough evidence to matter?

### Business impact

Does the condition create material cost, delay, risk, lost revenue or capacity constraint?

### Root cause

Would the proposed intervention address the actual cause rather than the symptom?

### Feasibility

Are the required data, systems and process conditions available?

### Risk

What could fail? Is human oversight required?

### Ownership

Is there a client owner who can implement and sustain the change?

### Time to value

Can the opportunity produce useful evidence of impact within a reasonable period?

## Disposition

Classify as:

* recommend now;
* prerequisite work first;
* investigate further;
* low priority;
* reject.

This prevents the final roadmap from becoming a catalogue of possibilities.
