# Surfacing Opportunities

> Turn evidence of workflow friction into candidate interventions that can be assessed by the consultant.

Start from a validated problem, not from a technology category.

## Opportunity construction

For each candidate capture:

**Problem:** what is happening now?

**Evidence:** which workflow evidence supports it?

**Intervention:** what change could address the cause?

**Expected benefit:** what KPI should improve?

**Requirements:** data, systems, ownership and controls.

## Consider the full intervention set

* eliminate;
* simplify;
* standardise;
* integrate;
* automate;
* augment with AI;
* redesign ownership or policy;
* train;
* monitor.

## Example

Weak:

> AI agent for onboarding.

Stronger:

> Replace repeated manual transfer of approved onboarding data into two downstream systems with structured intake and integration; use AI only for extracting information from unstructured documents that cannot be standardised.

## Keep evidence traceability

The user reviewing the opportunity should be able to understand why it exists and where the supporting evidence came from.
