# Referral & Testimonial Requests

> Ask for social proof and introductions at the right moment with specific, low-friction language.

## Testimonial request

Use after a meaningful positive milestone.

> Thanks again for the feedback today. Would you be comfortable giving us a short testimonial on the engagement? The most useful version would mention the problem we helped you understand, what changed in your decision-making, and the outcome or value you saw. I can send three prompts to make it easy.

### Prompts

1. What problem were you trying to solve before the engagement?
2. What did the diagnostic help you understand or decide?
3. What would you say to another leader considering a similar engagement?

Do not write a glowing quote and ask the client to approve it unless that is transparently presented as a draft based on their feedback.

## Referral request

> We have now reached the point where the diagnostic has given you a clear route forward. Are there one or two other operations or technology leaders you know who are dealing with similarly manual or fragmented workflows and would benefit from an evidence-led diagnostic?

## Forwardable introduction

> \[Consultant] helps \[ICP] understand where AI, automation or process change can create measurable value. The work starts with evidence about how the process actually operates, then turns that into prioritised recommendations and an implementation business case.

## Case-study permission

Ask separately if you want to use:

* company name;
* logo;
* quantified results;
* screenshots;
* direct quotes;
* specific process details.

An anonymised case study may still require client approval depending on the engagement terms and identifiability.

## Timing rule

Ask when the client is experiencing value, not merely when your internal marketing calendar needs content.
