Strong onboarding reduces delivery friction before it appears.

Confirm:
  • signed commercial terms;
  • agreed scope and exclusions;
  • executive sponsor;
  • process owner;
  • day-to-day contact;
  • stakeholder list;
  • main systems involved in the workflow;
  • security or privacy approvals;
  • target readout date.

Welcome email

Confirm the objective, first meeting, attendees, stakeholder preparation, participant expectations and who to contact with questions.

Kickoff agenda

  1. Business objective and why now
  2. Scope and exclusions
  3. Success criteria
  4. Stakeholder coverage
  5. Interview plan
  6. Screen observation where useful
  7. Timeline and milestones
  8. Roles and decision rights
  9. Security, confidentiality and consent
  10. Risks and immediate actions

Establish client responsibilities

Be explicit about stakeholder availability, timely participation, security review, prompt feedback and access to decision-makers.

Communication cadence

For a short diagnostic, a weekly update, findings-validation session and final executive readout may be enough. Do not create meetings for their own sake.
